Esther Iseminger, 88, of Warrensburg, passed away, 2nd Grade Teacher for Some of Us at Southeast

Esther Iseminger, 88, of Warrensburg, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center. Esther was born Jan. 24, 1923, in Montserrat, the daughter of Charles M. and Mary A. (Henderson) Parsley. She graduated from College High School in Warrensburg and received both her bachelor's degree and master's degree from Central Missouri State Teacher's College. She was united in marriage to William Harry Iseminger on Aug. 26, 1945, in Warrensburg. She was an elementary school teacher, starting her career in country schools. Esther taught in Warrensburg Public Schools for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was also a member of Retired Teachers Association and Golden Agers. Survivors include her sister, Ina Cunningham of Warrensburg; two nieces, Jane Priest of Robinson, Ill., and Sue Borgmeyer and husband, Kevin, of Sedalia; a nephew, Leon Cunningham and wife, Sandy, of Knob Noster; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Daugherty of Warrensburg and Phyllis Iseminger of Battle Creek, Mich.; and several great-nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, William, on April 21, 1999; an infant sister, Pansy Parsley; an infant brother, Chester Parsley; and brother, Marvin Parsley. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, with the Rev. Dennis Doyle of First Baptist Church in Warrensburg officiating. Interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home, one hour prior to service.
