Coach Bob & Cathy Griffey's Son Clint Passed Away January 7

Clinton Kyle Griffey, 36, of Belton, MO, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at KU Medical Center. Visitation will start at 12:30 with a Memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Martin City Melodrama & Vaudeville Co., 9601 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66212. Clint was born on November 7, 1975 in Warrensburg, MO. He later moved to Sedalia, MO where he attended elementary and high school. He was active in music and theater in high school and also acted in many community plays at the Sedalia Community Theater and Arrow Rock Lyceum Theater. He was an active member of the First Christian Church in Sedalia, MO. He attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City and toured with the American Family Theater Co. for ten years. Clint then returned to the Kansas City area where he worked at the Martin City Melodrama and Vaudeville Co. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Cathy Griffey of Belton, MO, one brother, Beau Griffey and wife Lisa of Plymouth, MN and three nephews, Mac, Davis and Quinn also of Plymouth, MN, his aunts, Mary Ann Coonrod of Overland Park, KS, Vicki Geiss and husband, Karl of Monroe, LA and Sandy Roberson and husband, Robbie of Blue Eye, MO.
