CONDUCTOR FALLS "DEAD AFTER FIRST ACCIDENT
Had Been on Road 40 Years Without Fatality
Warrensburg, MO Nov. 9.— When Missouri Pacific train No. 1 ran down and killed an unidentified man yesterday afternoon near here, L. D. Hopkins of St. Louis, the conductor, clutched at his breast, reeled and fell dead in the Pullman coach. He and been on the road 40 years and the accident was the first that had ever occurred while he was in charge of a train.
