Concerts, Sports and Exhibitions in Garrison Gym
Garrison Gym was dedicated in 1959 and was the home of the Mules, Jennies and College High School Colts basketball. It was also the gym for CMSC wrestling, volleyball, and gymnastics. in the 60s and 70s. If you were ever in the gym you possibly remember how loud it was then the gym was packed and the pep band was playing.
There were also 4 portraits of athletes over the entrance doors when coming in from the West Side lobby and snack area: The four portraits were:
Track Star and football player Keith Browne
Football player Jim Urczyk
and Baseball Player Steve Eckinger
Garrison also hosted some of the best music performers in the United States during its time.
